Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!

Skyfall (Lyrical) 2014

Some say I was born to entertain! The fine arts have played a very important role in my life. I have been fortunate to mentor with vocalists, musicians and artists from around the world. I have been a member of various vocal groups including the University of Regina Conservatory of Music, Saskatchewan Mini Express and The Expressions, Mocha Java and Cappuccino Vocal Jazz Ensembles, Concert Choir, Church Choir, and Espresso Select Choir; trained in competitive dance with Saskatchewan Express Musical Theatre Studio, Applause Dance Academy, and Dance Plus Regina; and performed with world renowned King’s Singers, Rajaton and the Moscow Ballet. I have also received awards for solo performances including Most Promising Lyrical Solo and Most Promising Broadway Solo. These experiences have aided in my growth and discovery of my true identity, and helped me excel in school by using rhythm and song to help me study. My dream is to live on stage; to shine in the lights and touch the hearts of those around me.

I work in Guest Services at the Ramada Plaza weekdays and at Flirt Formal Fashions on weekends. It is very rewarding to work with people from all walks of life; providing assistance and seeing them smile; connecting with a young girl to find that perfect dress for her special day; and modelling exquisite international designs.

I have a very large family with an interesting heritage.  In fact, I have over 60 cousins! Rowans Ravine Provincial Park is named after my great-great-great-great grandfather.  My ancestors from England stemmed from a royal family but relinquished the crown for love many years ago. Perhaps that is why wearing a crown feels so natural to me. I have one younger sister, Amber, who is my best friend, and a red-eared slider turtle named Spuds.

I have only been participating in pageants for about 18 months. I won my first title through All Canadian Pageants (Prairie) in 2013, at the Starry Nights Valentines Bliss, followed by categorical wins at Fun In The Sun and All Hallows Eve including Photogenic, Public Speaking, Costume and Talent. I am overwhelmed with excitement for the opportunity to participate in the Miss Teenage Canada national pageant.

Since receiving my title as Miss Teenage Southern Saskatchewan 2014 I have been quite busy preparing for the journey of a lifetime and embracing my title. My first official duty was an interview with Big Dog 92.7 radio station. Next I began contacting potential sponsors, making plans for fundraising, working with the talented Tina Caderma in designing my new evening gown, and making new friends with Miss Teenage delegates Canada-wide. I have also been very busy with dance competitions in May including a trip to Kick It Up in Calgary, but my highlight this month was welcoming my mentor and my friend, Annora Bourgeault, home from Surrey, BC after being crowned Miss World Canada 2014!  In about two months a new Miss Teenage Canada will be crowned and I am proud and blessed to be sharing the stage with so many wonderful, deserving and beautiful young ladies!
